A former Zebulon man has been arrested for violating the conditions of his probation for attempting to arrange a sexual encounter with an undercover Peachtree City police officer whom he thought was 15 years old.

Earnest Darryl Dean, now 50, pled guilty in March 2006 to computer solicitation of a child and also obscene internet contact. He was sentenced to 10 years probation.

Dean was arrested in Clemson, S.C. recently for allegedly using a hotel computer to “upload pictures of nude men, visit erotic websites and leave pictures on the computer,” according to a story published by the Fox Carolina 21 TV affiliate in the Clemson area.

Dean, who at the time of his March 2005 arrest was the Pike County Superintendent of Schools, is currently listed as having an address in Toccoa, Ga. He was booked into the Fayette County jail Saturday, charged with one felony count of violation of probation.
