Peachtree City police have arrested three people in connection with the Jan. 26 smash-and-grab burglary of the PeachMac computer store in The Avenue shopping center.
Police announced the arrest warrants issued for three metro Atlanta men, each charged with burglary (party to a crime) and criminal street gang activity: James Johnson, 22, of Bouldercrest Road, Atlanta; Corey Reese, 25, of Riverdale Road, College Park and Treivaughn Perdue, 22, of Buffington Road, Union City.
Johnson and Reese were arrested with the help of several other metro Atlanta police agencies, and Perdue was already in jail on unrelated charges, police said.
It’s possible that more arrests in the case will occur as the investigation continues, police said.
The burglary happened Jan. 26 around 2:30 a.m., and officers followed two vehicles from the area in a brief pursuit that was called off because the suspects drove recklessly at a high rate of speed, endangering others on the road, police said.
The burglars, who rammed one of the vehicles into the storefront to enter the store, got away with a number of computers and components valued at more than $20,000, police said.
