Three people were injured late this morning in a collision between a sheriff’s deputy and a minivan on Ga. Highway 314 at White Oak Way, just north of the Fayette Pavilion shopping center.
None of the injuries were life-threatening, but the deputy and two victims in minivan were taken to Atlanta Medical Center and Grady Hospital in downtown Atlanta, emergency medical officials said.
The deputy was responding to a reported shooting when the crash occurred, officials said.
The crash resulted in the temporary shutdown of all southbound traffic on Hwy. 314. The incident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
