Many artists debate whether they should consider themselves as a hobbyist, a sole proprietor or whether they should take the next step and incorporate. Dennis Davenport, attorney with McNally, Fox, Grant & Davenport, P.C., will share information regarding the pros and cons of each option at the April 5 meeting of Fine Arts and Crafts Entrepreneurs (FAACE). Time will be allotted after Davenport’s presentation for questions and answers.
Davenport specializes in municipal law, government law, contract law, probate, wills and other related areas. He was admitted to the Bar in 1993, graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1993 and has a B.A. (Cum Laude) in Political Science from Georgia State University. McNally, Fox, Grant & Davenport is located in Fayetteville, Georgia.
In addition, the group will be sharing details on opportunities for member participation in upcoming shows at The Veranda in Senoia and Art at the City being held at the Welcome Center of Christian City.
FAACE meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Towne Club Center, 201 Crosstown Drive in Peachtree City.
FAACE is a newly-formed group in the Southern Crescent whose focus is educating, supporting and empowering professional artists and crafters in the business aspects of their work.
