Peachtree City Police in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation have arrested two Peachtree City men in connection with selling forged concert tickets to victims across the Southeast.
Russell Davis, 22, and Jason Kimpel, 22, both of Peachtree City, were arrested Jan. 19, according to Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove. Davis was charged with theft by deception and forgery involving multiple victims while Kimpel was charged with theft by deception and being a party to a crime (forgery), also involving the same multiple victims, Dove said.
Through the ongoing investigation by Peachtree City detectives and FBI agents in the Atlanta Field Office, investigators learned that Davis had allegedly reprinted a legally purchased block of tickets to a concert and sold multiple copies of the fraudulently printed tickets to the victims, Dove said.
The victims who have been identified live throughout the southeastern United States, Dove said.
Dove said the investigation is still on going and there is the potential for more offenders to be identified.
