Two men have been indicted for breaking into three autos in Peachtree City Feb. 16.

Police arrested Andre Quincy Axam, 28, of Blanton Avenue, Atlanta, and Demarco Gonzalez McDonald, 19, of Skyline Drive, College Park in the parking lot of the Kedron Village Chick-fil-A after an alert citizen witnessed them enter an auto at the Mellow Mushroom and called 911.

The duo is accused of entering a Ford pickup truck parked at Mellow Mushroom, a 2008 Ford Expedition parked at the Smokey Bones restaurant and a 2002 Cadillac Escalade parked at World Gym on Commerce Drive.

The two are accused of having a stun gun with them during the crimes and also a 45-caliber firearm that had been stolen. Court documents indicate they used a screwdriver to assist in gaining entry to locked vehicles.

Axam and McDonald are charged with three felony counts of entering an automobile, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and one count each of possession of a tool for the commission of a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.

An indictment is not an indicator of guilt. Rather it is a signal from the Fayette County grand jury that there is enough evidence for the matter to proceed to trial where a jury will determine the final outcome.
