A Peachtree City father and son were arrested Monday on multiple charges related to the operation of a meth lab at a Stevens Entry apartment.
Harry Charles Osborne, 58, and Jake Harry Osborne, 24, were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and manufacturing,
dispensing, distributing or possessing controlled substances near a school, possession or use of drug-related objects and reckless conduct, said Peachtree City Police spokesperson Rosanna Dove.
On August 14 the Peachtree City Police Department received information from a concerned citizen that there were items located in an apartment at Gables Court Apartments on Stevens Entry that appeared to be assembled into a methamphetamine laboratory, said Dove.
Dove said an investigation ensued that led to the issuance of a search warrant on Monday, August 16. At approximately 5:30 p.m. members of the Peachtree City Police Department and the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency’s Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team made entry into the apartment and conducted the initial search, Dove said.
During the search, the configuration of the containers, the substances observed, and the paraphernalia located, led to the arrest of Harry Charles Osborne and his son Jake Harry Osborne, said Dove.
The search and retrieval of items from this apartment continued through the evening hours until a federally contracted company began the clean up process, said Dove. Samples of the substances located at the scene are being sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for identification, she added.
Dove said both subjects were transported to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
