Dan Garcia’s color pencil drawing titled Summer Breeze received the distinction of being the Best in Show during Fayette Society of Fine Arts (FSOFA) Autumn Harvest art show.

Garcia states it is flattering for his piece of work chosen as best of all since FSOFA has such a large number of talented artists.

Fayette Society of Fine Arts is an educational non-profit organization which promotes the education of visual art in Fayette County. Each year a scholarship fund is divided among the visual arts teachers in the five high schools in the Fayette County School System. More information about FSOFA may be found on its website www.fsofa.net.

FSOFA meets the second Monday of each month 7:00 PM at the Heritage Bank located on Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville. Meetings are open to the public. The next meeting of FSOFA is January 11, 2010.
