Frederick Frank Roeding died February 9, 2016.

He was born on September 2, 1926 at Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Frederick Frank Roeding, Sr., and Marie M. Dick.  Fred attended Forest Hills High School in New York, and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa., where he graduated with a bachelor degree in accounting.  He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the National Association of Accountants.

Fred served our country in the United States Army in two wars – World War II and the Korean War.  

He married his college sweetheart, Margaret M. Mills, on April 19, 1952, and had two children, David Thomas Roeding and Linda Karen Roeding.  He lived in Prospect Park, Pa., until 1972, when he moved his family to Kennesaw, Ga., where he resided until 2013, then he moved to Peachtree City, Ga., where he lived until his death.  While he lived in Prospect Park, Pa., he was proud to serve on the Prospect Park City Counsel.

He was a founding member of Christ Episcopal Church in Kennesaw, Ga., and was a member of Pinetree Country Club, in Kennesaw, Ga., where he enjoyed friendships on and off the golf course.

He retired from MARTA, and during his early retirement years he worked for H&R Block during tax season.

Fred was an avid sports fan, a diehard Braves fan, and had a true love for animals.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Mills Roeding; his son, David Thomas Roeding; his daughter, Linda Karen Roeding Wells; his daughter-in-law, Regina Roeding; 5 granddaughters – Candace L. Summerall, Heather Lynn Roeding, Ashley Lauren Wells, Mandy Holm, and Amy Holm; and several great grandchildren – Karsten, Miranda, Holden, Selah, and Hannah.
