Senoia Police are searching for three men responsible for the Dec. 23 armed robbery of a recycling business on Ga. Highway 16. No one was injured in the late night armed robbery.

Department spokesman Capt. Steve Tomlin said the AIM Recycling business was robbed at gunpoint during the early morning hours of Dec. 23.

Tomlin said a witness to the incident described the three men as black males in their 20s, adding that one of the men had long, curly hair.

Tomlin said the store employee was held at gunpoint by one of the men who was holding a black handgun. The man demanded that the employee turn over his personal items and
cash while the other two men loaded a large number of lawn mower batteries into a small red pickup truck. The three men subsequently left the area, leaving the employee unharmed, Tomlin added.

The witness could not verify the direction of travel of the pickup once it was out of the vicinity of the office, Tomlin said.

Senoia Police asked that local recycling centers be cautious of persons attempting to recycle large amounts of lawn mower batteries.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Senoia Police Dept. at 770-599-3256 and speak with Investigator Batts.
