One of the foremost Mental Skills and Toughness Training coaches in the country, Dr. Spencer Wood, will be the guest speaker at the next monthly meeting of the Peachtree City Running Club on Monday, November 4.

Anyone who runs on a regular basis is aware of how important mental toughness is in order to run at peak performance, especially when it counts the most. There are days when we feel great, and other days when we just don’t feel like we have it. Dr. Wood will discuss how to become much more consistent, how to handle some of the self-imposed pressure we place on ourselves, and how to bounce back from mistakes, the unexpected, and poor results. He will also discuss how to elevate our confidence when we need it the most, how to bounce back from injuries more effectively, and of significance to almost every runner, how to prevent fading in the last few difficult miles of an event.

The meeting will take place at the Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center located at 2443 Highway 54, Peachtree City, Georgia, 30269 and will begin at 7:30 PM.  The public is invited to hear Dr. Wood and participate in the question and answer session.  The meeting is free and open to the public.
