Frances “Nana” Douglas, 100, of Peachtree City, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. She was born on March 12, 1917 in Easton, Pa. to Oliver and Bertha Kiefer.

Mrs. Douglas worked at the Marietta Bomb Company during World War II and retired from New Jersey Bell, where she worked as a customer service representative. She was an avid reader and read almost every large print book in the Peachtree City and Fayetteville libraries. When asked just a few days before her passing what her secret was to her long life, she responded, “my grandchildren.” She loved life and loved her family. She was described by many as a strong, spunky and quick-witted lady.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Kelly Vick and husband Doug, Kyle Blithe and her husband Jim, Kathy Gloer; and her husband Jon, Barry Cheatham and his wife Jana, Jenny Bellamy and her husband Jamie, Cody Cheatham, and Lance Cheatham and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren, Brooke Quarmby and her husband Brett, Ryan Gloer and his wife Brittney, Chad Gloer, Kali Coley and her husband Beau, Cami Kelly, Sean Blithe, Brian Blithe, Cameron Cheatham, Caroline Cheatham, and Sara Cheatham; and her great-great grandchildren, Corbin Quarmby, Judah Gloer, Asher Gloer and Micah Gloer.
