Geneva Nix Lucas, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on April 16, 2016.
She was born in Toccoa, Georgia on March 3, 1929 to John and Pearl Wilbanks. Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Marvin Nix, her husband of 12 years, Willard Lucas, and her daughter, Rita Steadham. She is survived by her sons, Ed Nix of McDonough and Terry Nix (Tina) of Fayetteville; her daughter, Marlene Nix of Panama City Beach, Fla.; her son-in-law, Phil Steadham of Hogansville; her grandchildren, Kerri Williams, Kevin Nix, Joy Callahan, Jason Davis, Brandon Nix, Austin Nix, Jeb Steadham and Jada Steadham; her great-grandchildren, Jesse Jewell, Jaleb Jewell, Cole Nix, Casey Williams, Christopher Williams, Scott Callahan, Kayla and Jonathan Jergens, Madison Callahan, Cameron Davis, Skyler Davis, Mary Beth Steadham, Matthew Steadham, Gracie Steadham and Hannah Steadham; and her great-great-grandchildren, D.J. and Khloe Callahan.
There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. J. W. Wallis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
