Peachtree City Library has announced the second workshop in its Financial Literacy Initiative: Financial Planning Basics.
The workshop, scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, will be taught by local accredited professionals with experience in the financial services industry.
Two sessions will be held in the Floy Farr Room at two different times: 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Each session is designed to last 90 minutes and is free to the public, but registration is required.
At this workshop, attendees will learn:
• How to construct a budget and the importance of establishing an emergency fund
• Credit fundamentals
• Basic investment concepts, including risk tolerance and the difference between pretax, after-tax, and tax-deferred investments
• Basic estate planning concepts
Participants will also receive a free workbook created just for this presentation that contains key information, worksheets, and questions to help you remember important points from the seminar.
