The Department of Juvenile Justice will make a recruiting run through 14 Georgia communities in April in search of highly qualified candidates to offer employment opportunities at DJJ secure facilities around the state.
Commissioner Avery D. Niles said the job fairs scheduled on the department’s recruitment calendar this month are in DJJ’s South, East and West Georgia Recruiting Regions. Recruiters will set up their career fair tables in Statesboro, Waycross, Douglas, Albany, Rincon, Hinesville, Swainsboro, Savannah, Vidalia, Duluth, Atlanta, Macon, College Park and Norcross.
“DJJ recruiters are always looking for mature, responsible adults and candidates with prior law enforcement, corrections, or military experience.” Niles said. “We’re doing on-the-spot interviews with qualified candidates. We’re hiring job seekers with the personal drive to become Juvenile Corrections Officers (JCOs) and help young offenders through their troubled life transitions.”
The closest opportunity scheduled right now is Tuesday, April 19, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the David Scott Annual Career Fair inside the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.
Please note career fair locations and times may change OR additional career fair dates may be added to our recruiting schedule. Applicants should check the DJJ website for late-breaking schedule changes at www.djjcareers.org before visiting a DJJ job fair or for more information.
