James Hagen Blanchar, 77, of Peachtree City passed away March 15, 2016.

He was born in Louisville, Ky. to John and Ruth Blanchar. He was a retired U.S. Navy Captain . He then worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a civil engineer until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Beryl Blanchar; daughters Lisa Blanchar of Peachtree City and Jill Blanchar of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.

There will be no local services. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
