Authors spotlighted Feb. 27

A panel of five local authors will participate in the first author’s showcase at the Tyrone Public Library Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.

The authors will give a brief presentation, answer questions from the audience, and will be available to sell and sign copies of their books.  This event is open to the public, admission is free, and complimentary light refreshments will be served.

Sharon Marchisello is the author of “Going Home,” a tale of suspense and Alzheimer’s, and published by Sunbury Press.  Sharon is also a member of the Atlanta chapter of Sisters in Crime. Sharon is busy working on her next novel.

Richard D. Smith completed his first novel, “Abigail’s Eye” in 2006.  He has written twelve novels, all falling into the category of Action, Suspense and Thriller for the Young Adult and Middle School readers.  He is currently working on his thirteenth novel, “Temple of Leaves.”  Mr. Smith, also a painter, illustrates the covers on his novels.

Debby Giusti is an author who uses her experiences as an Army Brat and Army wife to write tales of suspense and inspiration.  Debby has won numerous awards including the Daphne du Maurier Award for Inspirational Suspense, the National Readers’ Choice Award, and the Golden Quill to name a few.  Her seventeenth book, “Plain Danger,” releases in February and “Plain Truth” follows in September.

Robert Koermer has just released his debut Children’s Book, “Goose Feathers,” based on the family of geese that inhabited the lake where Mr. Koermer resides.  “Goose Feathers” is a BookLogix U & I Read Aloud book to encourage family reading time.

Harrison Jones is the author of “The Pilot Class,”Shadow Flight,” and “Equal Time Point,” tales of aviation and suspense.  Mr. Jones’ novels are based on his long career in the aviation industry.

Proceeds from the sale of books at the showcase will benefit The Friends of the Tyrone Public Library, the nonprofit group that sponsors many library programs throughout the year.
