Harrison Fultz and Nick Nyman of Starr’s Mill High School are currently ranked 1-2 in the state among freshmen by GA MileSplit for having the best times so far this year.
Fultz recorded a 5K time of 16:16.95 at the Region 4-AAAAA cross-country championships Oct. 24, the best overall individual performance in that race among all varsity runners. Nyman came in seventh overall that day.
Nyman ran 16:19.00 at the Foot Locker South Regional Nov. 28 in North Carolina, good enough for second overall among freshmen. Fultz finished 17th in that race.
