A writer from Fayetteville has published a new novel that allows readers to “explore a post-apocalyptic world through a man’s daunting adventure,” according to a press release.
The author is Nicholas P. Garcia and the book is “Collect Your Things: Book One of the Knossos Project.” Here is a summary:
“When nothing is what it seems and everything seems to mean nothing, how does one survive? What begins as a guys-gone-wild trip to Rio de Janeiro ends rather abruptly in a mushroom cloud. A nuclear missile strikes Rio as the stunned vacationers watch from a boat. Garcia was born in Key West, Fla., in 1968. He attended Vanderbilt University and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University and a law degree from Georgia State University. He currently practices law in Fayetteville, where he lives with his wife, Myra, and their four children. His first book, “A Very Big League of Their Own,” received critical acclaim as “an example of beautiful craftsmanship sure to leave readers thinking long and hard.”
