Study skills taught in Peachtree City

Among the several unique activities being offered by the Peachtree City Recreation Department is the “Strategies for School Success” class.

The class is geared to students 11 – 19-years-old and will be held on Wednesdays from May 13 – May 27 at 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Students begin by discovering their learning style. Emphasis will be placed on organizational strategies, making good decisions, time management skills, setting long as well as short-term goals, and techniques for dealing with difficult situations. Students will also learn about the writing process, learning memory techniques, note taking skills, the inquiry method and studying for/taking tests.
