It’s almost pancake time in PTC

.If you enjoy family fun and good food, then the 24th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast is the place to be Jan. 24 from 7 a.m.- 1p.m. The location for the all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast is the cafeteria at McIntosh High School at 201 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City.

Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City this event is called “Peachtree City’s premier social event of the winter”. Approximately 2,500 people are expected to attend this fun and food filled day. The menu includes fluffy pancakes, zesty sausage, orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea.

You can purchase tickets in advance from any Kiwanis Club members, Key Club members from McIntosh, Stars Mill, Landmark Christian School and Boy’s Scout Troop No.181. Tickets in advance are $7 and are available at the door for $8. while children under 4 are free. Kiwanis members will be selling tickets (weather permitting) at the Braelinn and Kedron Kroger’s and Wal-Mart Jan. 3, 10, & 17, with tickets also being sold Jan. 7 and 14at the Kroger stores.

After the family has eaten all the pancakes they can hold, the adults can visit with friends and neighbors, and the New Hope Clowns, who are always a hit with parents and kids, can entertain the kids. In addition, the Key Clubs will do face painting so the kids can go home with a new face and a big smile.

As always the officers with the DARE program will be available for questions from the parents or a big HI for the kids. Outside the kids can look thru fire trucks, CERT vehicles and Police cars. It will be a great day for the whole family.

All profits from the Pancake Breakfast will be returned to the community through charitable donations and community service projects. The Peachtree City Kiwanis Club is the sole sponsor for the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program taught in all the Peachtree City Elementary Schools. Other events center around the ART and Music Showcase held in March, the support and participation with Key Clubs, Builders Club, K Clubs and Scout Troops #181.
