Fayette Master Gardeners to Host Talk on Ornamental Shrubs October 20

Arborist Matt Jordan will discuss ornamental shrubs at the Fayette Master Gardener Association’s monthly meeting Tuesday, October 20, at The Bridge Community Center in Peachtree City.

The meeting is open to the public and will begin with a social gathering at 9:30 a.m., followed by Jordan’s presentation at 10 a.m. A business meeting will follow at 11 a.m.

The Fayette Master Gardener Association (FMGA) is a nonprofit organization that brings together certified Master Gardeners and other gardening enthusiasts. Membership does not require Master Gardener certification.

The association meets monthly from August through May for educational presentations focused on horticulture. It also hosts an annual plant sale, with proceeds supporting local nonprofit horticultural projects and college scholarships for Fayette County residents majoring in horticulture or agriculture.

The October 20 meeting will be held at The Bridge Community Center, 225 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City.
