We celebrate their hard work, dedication, and leadership in schools, leagues, and clubs throughout Fayette and Coweta counties.
For the week of September 7, we’re proud to feature these athletes:
East Coweta High School
Payton Wilson
Softball

Payton is off to a strong start, helping lead the Lady Indians on the softball diamond. As the varsity shortstop, she is making an impact both defensively and at the plate, currently leading the team in hitting.
Fayette County High School
Shawn Mitchell
Football

Shawn is a freshman football player who has been a pleasant surprise this summer. He has slowly worked himself into a position on varsity special teams in this Friday’s game against South Cobb.
McIntosh High School
Carly Maday
Cross Country

Volleyball

Hard-working, talented athlete who never quits. Ultimate efficiency in the front row! Leading the team in hitting percentage, maximizes every single set while anchoring our defense with the second-highest blocks.

Elijah Kerr
Football

Elijah is a SR who is a two-way starter at Tight End on offense, and Defensive End on defense. He is an integral part of the Tiger football program and makes a huge impact on both sides of the football.
