Sweet, dog friendly Buckie came into the shelter with her child, Fawn, whose personality and friendliness got her adopted shortly after. Found and trapped as strays, they were happy to rest and be fed at the shelter. While Fawn immediately enjoyed the volunteers taking her for walks and outside time, Buckie has been a little slower opening to people, but she is oh so gentle.
Buckie has a roommate now; he goes by the name of Clem. Buckie’s confidence grows with him around and she is now learning to trust humans and enjoy quality time with staff and volunteers as well.
Buckie is around 4 years old and 63 lbs. She has gorgeous deep brown eyes and exceptionally aerodynamic ears. She is tender, observant, quiet and deserving of unconditional love. You could help her grow in confidence and trust so she can shine!
The Fayette County Animal Shelter is located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Buckie will melt your heart, are you ready to adopt her?
