Deputies searching for North Coweta armed robber

Coweta County deputies are searching for a man driving a white minivan who held up a convenience store on U.S. Highway 29 at gunpoint on Nov. 9.

Sgt. Jason Fetner said the armed robbery occurred during the evening hours at the Mini Mart on Hwy. 29 in north Coweta County.

The suspect entered the building, briefly cased the store and departed. He returned approximately 20 minutes later, Fetner said. He was wearing a gray sweater, a dark stocking caps and had a mustache and a partial beard, said Fetner.

The man produced a handgun and robbed the cashier, Fetner said.

The man arrived and left the location both times in a white minivan, said Fetner.
