ESL classes start Sept. 5
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults begin Friday, Sept. 5, at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA, and meet weekly through May 15, 2015.  Classes are free and students can join any time.  Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  Childcare is provided.  The church is at 101 Carriage Lane, Peachtree City. Line Creek to host singing this Friday
Line Creek Baptist Church, a historic church formerly in Fayette County, now in Coweta, invites the community to its annual singing, Friday, Sept. 5, from 7:30 – 10 p.m. at the church, 1488 Bob Smith Road, Sharpsburg. The featured group will be “The Driven.” Bob Smith Road is off of Lower Fayetteville Road between Dr. Fischer Road and Ga. Hwy. 154. For more information, call 678-423-0390.

Greekfest coming up Sept. 20
This year’s annual Greekfest sponsored by St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City, will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m., at Dixie Wing Hangar, Falcon Field, in Peachtree City. Tickets  are $50 per person and include all-you-can-consume traditional Greek appetizers, buffet dinner, desserts, adult and regular beverages. Find your immigrant ancestors at free class
The LDS Church’s Fayetteville Family History lab will host a class on how to find your immigrant ancestors, something everyone has, on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2021 Redwine Rd . in Fayetteville.  Those attending can bring their own laptop/tablet or use those provided by the church. Holy Trinity will have Memorial Mass
Embrace Ministry of Holy Trinity invites all families to a Memorial Mass in honor of all babies lost during pregnancy, stillbirth or first year of life, to be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m. Attendees can honor their child, inscribe their baby’s name in the book of  life, and gather with other families that have gone through the same suffering. The Mass is based on a verse in Jeremiah, “ … before you were formed in the womb, I knew you.” Jer 5:1. RSVP to marciapoynter@gmail.com so that plans may be made for those attending..

Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S. Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings.  This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.
