A Guide to Easter Services in Fayette and Coweta Counties

As Easter approaches, churches across Fayette and Coweta counties are preparing services for Holy Week, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. This guide is based on service information churches posted publicly on their websites, calendars and event pages as of March 31. It may not be comprehensive, and families should check with individual churches for last-minute updates.

In Fayette County

In Peachtree City, Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Drive, is observing Holy Week with Palm Sunday services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. March 29, open communion and prayer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, and a Good Friday service at noon April 3. Easter Sunday services are planned for 9:30 and 11 a.m. April 5.

Peachtree City United Methodist Church, 225 Robinson Road, lists a Lent 2026 page with Maundy Thursday on April 2, Good Friday self-guided Stations of the Cross on April 3, and regular Sunday worship at 9:30 and 11 a.m. It also is hosting “Easter Jam 2026,” a family event connected to its Easter programming.

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 N. Peachtree Parkway, has Holy Week events scheduled from March 29 through April 5. The church says Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will be held in the evenings, and Easter Sunday follows its regular Sunday schedule of traditional worship at 8:30 and 11 a.m. and contemporary worship at 9:45 a.m.

St. Christopher Church in Peachtree City has posted a full Holy Week schedule beginning April 4, for Orthodox Easter. Services include Palm Sunday on April 5 at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 4 p.m., nightly Bridegroom services on Monday and Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday at 5 p.m., Thursday, April 9 at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Good Friday services with services at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.. Easter on April 12 begins with a midnight Resurrection service, followed by additional worship later Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. 

All Saints Anglican Church, 149 Ebenezer Road in Fayetteville, lists a Good Friday service at noon April 3 and “Seven Last Words of Christ” at 7 p.m. that evening. On Saturday, April 4, the church has Holy Saturday Morning Prayer at 9 a.m. and a Resurrection Egg Hunt and Family Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Easter Sunday Choral Holy Communion services are scheduled for 9 and 11:15 a.m. April 5.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 257 Ga. Highway 314 in Fayetteville, will hold Maundy Thursday services at noon and 6:30 p.m., Good Friday services at noon and 6:30 p.m., and Easter Sunday services at 7:30 a.m. in Peace Chapel, 9 a.m. in the Life Center and 11:15 a.m. in the sanctuary.

The Olivet Church at 877 Ga Highway 314 in Fayetteville has Candlelight Communion on Maundy Thursday at 6:30 p.m., Good Friday service featuring the 7 Last Words of Christ at noon on Friday, and Easter Service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. 

One Church, 2130 Redwine Road in Fayetteville, is calling its Easter programming “Resurrection Weekend.” The church lists a Saturday service at 5:30 p.m. April 4, a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. April 5 and additional Easter Sunday services at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.

At St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 152 Antioch Road in Fayetteville, Holy Thursday Mass and washing of the feet is at 6 p.m. Good Friday includes Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. and Passion of the Lord at 6 p.m. The Easter Vigil is at 8:30 p.m. April 4. For Easter Sunday, the parish says it plans a 10:30 a.m. outside Mass if weather permits; if the weather is bad, it will hold indoor Masses at 8 and 10:30 a.m.

Inman United Methodist Church, 151 Hills Bridge Road in Fayetteville, has posted Easter events including an Easter egg hunt April 1, a 7 a.m. Easter sunrise service at Inman Cemetery and an Easter service at the church on April 5.

The annual community-wide Good Friday service in Peachtree City is set for noon April 3 at Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Drive. The service has been a local tradition for more than 40 years, according to The Citizen

In Coweta County

Newnan First United Methodist Church, 33 Greenville St., has a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 2, a sunrise service at 7 a.m. April 5 at First Avenue Park and Easter Sunday worship beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The church also is inviting worshippers to bring flowers to “flower the cross” on Easter morning.

St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Road in Newnan, has one of the fuller public Holy Week schedules. It includes Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m.; on Good Friday, Scriptural Rosary at 10 a.m., Stations of the Cross at 12:30 p.m., Seven Last Words at 1 p.m., Tenebrae at 1:45 p.m., Divine Mercy Chaplet at 2:30 p.m. and Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3 p.m. The Easter Vigil is at 9 p.m. April 4, and Easter Sunday Masses are at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Go Church will have services at 3935 Highway 34 East, in Sharpsburg at 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, and Easter Sunrise on Sunday at 7 a.m., followed by Easter services at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

Crossroads Church is promoting “Easter at Crossroads” from April 2 through April 5. In west Coweta, its Sharpsburg campus at 3260 Ga. Highway 16 holds gatherings Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m., while its Thomas Crossroads campus at 2564 Ga. Highway 154 in Newnan gathers Sundays at 10 a.m.

New Hope Baptist Church, 1563 Ga. Highway 74 South in Senoia, has a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. April 3.

Open Door Baptist Church, 7364 Ga. Highway 16 in Senoia, says it will hold a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter morning, followed by a 10 a.m. morning service, with no evening service that day.

Senoia United Methodist Church, 229 Bridge St., is planning a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. April 2 with a light supper beforehand at 6 p.m. On Easter Sunday, the church will begin with a potluck breakfast at 9:45 a.m., followed by Easter worship at 11 a.m.

Word of God Lutheran Church, 4486 East Highway 34 in Sharpsburg, lists Easter at 8 a.m. April 5, followed by Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10:15 a.m. The church calendar also notes gathering 30 minutes before sunrise for a procession.

Sharpsburg Baptist Church, 6413 Ga. Highway 54, has promoted Easter weekend with breakfast at 9:45 a.m., Sunday school and an Easter worship service at 11 a.m.

Peachtree Baptist Church in Senoia has posted Easter services for April 5, including prayer meeting beginning at 8 a.m.
