The” Music Man” plays at the Legacy Theatre in Tyrone tonight at 7:30 p.m. The musical is family entertainment at it’s best. The show follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. “Trouble,” “My White Knight,” and “76 Trombones” are just a few of the show stopping numbers in the Meredith Willson classic. participation, musical production “The Princess and the Pea” accompanied by a fun after show party at the Royal Castle. This excellent event is ideal for the entire family and will take place at the Fayetteville Train Depot at 250 Lanier Ave. East in Fayetteville Come meet all the zany characters of our Kingdom and share in the fun of this 45-minute musical that has been touring Georgia since late May to audience cheers and standing room only performance. Performances are 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. today. Seating is very limited, so making reservations is highly recommended. Tickets include the show and castle party and are only $8 by reservation. Tonight, Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville hosts an evening of R&B classics with The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards. Opening for the Temps is Atlanta-based group, Soulhound. A few tickets still remain, and range from $20 – $32. The next show will be Gary Puckett & the Union Gap on Saturday, July 26.

Tickets to all shows are available via the website at SouthernGroundAmp.com and at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville. The Southern Ground Amphitheater is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and managed by the Main Street Tourism Association of Fayetteville.

Spotlight Theater is hosting a camp at Christ Church Whitewater for rising 6th-9th graders. Activities will include learning about the storylines and music for the most famous Broadway musicals for the last twenty-five years. Camp will be from 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.Monday through Friday, beginning July 14, with a performance on the evening of July 18 for friends and family. All Fayette citizens are invited to a public meeting today at Dolce-Atlanta in Peachtree City from 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the Fayette Visioning plan and how they can engage in this critical part of the process. A large group presentation about the plan and implementation recommendations will be given. In addition, several small group breakout sessions will be held where citizens can ask Steering Committee members specific questions about the plan and recommendations and learn specific areas where they can get involved.
