Gerald Ray (Gerry) Gould died peacefully in his home in Peachtree City, Ga. on April 29, 2014, at the age of 77.

He was born in Alfordsville, Ind. on September 26, 1936 to Floyd B. Gould and Sophia E. (Lottes) Gould. Gerry attended Alfordsville High School, and received a BA in Mathematics from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. He later earned his degree in Masters of Business Administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Gerry was a veteran of the pulp and paper industry, including positions with Mead Paper Company in Escanaba, Maine and Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Atlanta, Ga. He traveled the country and the world in his professional and personal life. Gerry was an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast in general. He could be found watching Braves baseball, University of Georgia football, and especially college basketball. He was a member of the Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, Ga.

Gerry is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Pamela; four children: Karen (John W.) Dean, Jay (Arlene) Gould, Terry (Dorothy) Gould, and Paul (Melissa) Barth, II; and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City, Ga. The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
