The Friends of the Peachtree City Library invite the community to join them for Books & Brews, a new event celebrating books, beer, and community—all in support of the Peachtree City Library.

When: Thursday, October 23 | 5–7 p.m.
Where: Line Creek Brewing Co., 150 Huddleston Road, Peachtree City

Held during National Friends of the Library Week, the evening will feature live music by Butch Watson, the Rolling Smoke BBQ food truck, and selections from the Friends of the Library’s used book sale, with $1 from every Line Creek Brewing pint sold benefiting the Friends of the Library. Guests can also learn more about becoming a Friend, renewing a membership, or making a donation to support library programs throughout the year.

“Books & Brews is a fun and relaxed way to connect with our Friends, meet new supporters, and raise awareness about how Friends funding helps the library thrive,” said Carl Hoverstad, President of the Friends of the Peachtree City Library.

The Friends of the Library provide vital support for programs and initiatives that go beyond the library’s regular budget—everything from children’s reading programs and art initiatives to guest author visits, including this summer’s sold-out appearance by bestselling author Brad Thor.

At Books & Brews, the Friends will also feature a small selection of books from their ongoing used book sale, offering attendees the chance to browse and purchase gently used titles. Community members are encouraged to visit the larger used book sale inside the Peachtree City Library, located near the back reference desk, to explore a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books, CDs, and DVDs available for purchase year-round.

Attendees are also invited to bring book donations to the event. The library accepts hardbacks, paperbacks, audiobook CDs, music CDs, and DVDs that are in good condition. (Please note: no textbooks or encyclopedias.) All proceeds from book sales directly support library programs and services.
