NEWNAN, GA — Southside Support invites families and caregivers to attend its 10th Annual Empowerment Summit on Tuesday, September 30th, at Southside Church in Newnan. This free, community-centered event is designed to connect caregivers of individuals with exceptional needs to vital resources, training, and support.

Doors open at 9:30 AM, with free training from 10:00–11:00 AM on navigating SSI, SSDI, and Georgia’s Self-Directed Medicaid Waivers—a powerful tool that allows families to choose trusted providers and access services that meet their loved one’s unique needs.

From 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM, attendees can explore offerings from over 40 resource vendors, including:

  • Attorney services,Ā Medicaid application assistance, andĀ IEP advocacy
  • Speech, occupational, and physical therapy
  • ABA therapy,Ā adaptive recreation, andĀ inclusive camps
  • Support for medically fragile children,Ā home accessibility, and more

Raffle prizes include:

  • 6 hours of IEP AdvocacyĀ (valued at $725)
  • Medicaid application assistance
  • Apple Watch
  • And other caregiver-focused gifts to support families on their journey

Early arrivals (before 10:00 AM) will receive a free raffle ticket.
