The Freedom Fund Banquet Committee is planning its 16th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel in Peachtree City, an event you must attend. This year’s banquet theme is “Uniting Citizens Through Diversity and Inclusion.” The Keynote Speaker will be Shirley Sherrod.
In July 2010, Mrs. Sherrod was forced to resign her position at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) after conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart posted video excerpts on his website of a Sherrod address at a NAACP event.
