Georgia Tech Admissions information night is today at  6 p.m. at the  Peachtree City Event Center, 313 Dividend Dr., Peachtree City. The Fayette County Teen Republicans are set to kick off their first meeting for the 2013-2014 calendar year at the  White Water Creek Club Room

The Fayette County Teen Republicans first meeting for the fall season is today. The South Metro Rose Society will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the Heritage Bank in Fayetteville. All rose growers from novice to expert are invited to attend free of charge. This month’s program features Consulting Rosarian, Chris Woods, speaking on “Rooting Roses for Cheap Beauty”.  He is a past-president of the Greater Atlanta Rose Society and also served as chair of the 2013 Annual GARS Rose Show. The 9th Annual Cruisin’ to the Oldies Car Show on Main Street in downtown Senoia will is today from11a.m.-5 p.m. Always a popular event, the car show draws entries and visitors from all over Georgia and a few other states as well.  “The Car Guys,” Scott Sargeant and Charlie Filkins, will be emceeing the event.  The registration fee is $20. and will begin at 8 am.   Dash plaques will be presented to the first 300 cars registered. This year’s show will be limited to cars 1988 and older. The crowd pleasing “Mustangs,” will play from noon to 3 p.m.  The Mustangs perform oldies but goodies from the 50’s to the 70’s. They have performed throughout the Southeast and have become a very popular attraction. The Fayette Humane Society will hold its second annual charity golf tournament, “Fore the Paws,” at the Braelinn Golf Club in Peachtree City. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start for the 4-person scramble will take place at 9 a.m. The $85 per person ticket price includes green fee, golf cart, range balls, continental breakfast, and awards luncheon buffet. Proceeds will be used to fund Fayette Humane Society’s spay/neuter program and to provide veterinary care for rescued cats and dogs. The Healing Bridge Clinic will host a fundraiser, the Spooktacular Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt from 9 a.m. to noon at The Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center  Hotel in Peachtree City.
