PTC company up for international award

An international company located in Peachtree City has been named a finalist for the fourth annual Governor’s International Awards.

Aventure Aviation is nominated in the International Trade Category, which recognizes companies that have had the greatest impact in Georgia through their import and export activities since Jan. 1, 2011.

As of August of this year, exports have accounted for 72 percent of Aventure’s sales.

Aventure is an accredited aviation parts and services company and also offers repair and overhaul management for major airlines. Aventure’s large warehouse stocks parts for Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Raytheon and Lockheed C-130 and L-100 aircraft parts.

Aventure has participated with state officials in numerous trade delegations to foreign nations along with local and international trade shows and conventions.

The company has also won recognition and awards in the past several years including the 2009 Exporter of the Year award for Georgia and the entire southeast from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Aventure was also named one of the fastest-growing privately held businesses in the country for two years in a row.

The upcoming award ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.

Aventure is headquartered in Peachtree City but also has offices in Toronto, Dubai and Riga along with representatives in other global cities.

Aventure was also nominated for the award in 2006.
