‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ opens Thursday in F’ville

Celebrate the beginning of summer with a laugh, a song, a dance and quality family timeas A Company of Friends Productions presents the hilarious family musical “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”

Join a cast of 21 talented singers, dancers and actors as they take you to the kingdom of Glump. There you will meet the self-centered Emperor Plumptoe and his outrageous family, the Empress and Empressettes – Pookie, Snookie and Kootchi. All the ladies are insane and certainly a chip off the old block. Add in a town full of equally crazy townsfolk, two mysterious strangers who come to swindle the village, three zany doctors and even a little romanceall set to some of the most toe-tapping music you’ve ever heard, and you have 75 minutes of family delight.

 The historic Fayette Train Depot / Welcome center at 250 Lanier Ave. E in Fayetteville will play host to this colorful musical that audiences from 3 to 93 will most assuredly find entertaining and funny.

Show dates are Thursday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/239114 or at the Fayette Depot during business hours (Cash or Check only at the Depot).

Opening Night ticket prices are a special deal at only $8 with Friday and Saturday tickets being $11 either online or via the Depot.
