Sex offender arrested for failure to register

Fayetteville resident Jesse Alan Murden was arrested over the weekend by Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies for failure to register as a sex offender.

Murden was released from Ware State Prison on Sept. 19 after serving a 10-year sentence for child molestation and aggravated child molestation stemming from a 1999 Rockdale County case.

Fayette County Sheriff’s arrest records showed Murden with an address on Ga. Highway 314 in Fayetteville. He was booked into Fayette County Jail.
