Undercover drug agents have arrested 16 people this month — including three juveniles at a Peachtree City home — in conjunction with nine investigations into illegal drug activity.
Marijuana distribution charges were filed in three of the cases, and more arrests will be forthcoming at a future date from some of the investigations, according to Capt. Jody Thomas of the Fayette County Tactical Narcotics Team.
The 15-year-old juveniles were arrested during a search warrant executed Feb. 17 on a Walnut Grove home in the Pinegate subdivision of Peachtree City. Agents recovered felony amounts of suspected marijuana and methamphetamine from the residence, Thomas said.
Teresa Manning, 47, of Peachtree City was arrested at the scene for possession of marijuana and maintaining a disorderly house; Benjamin Piper, 17, of Peachtree City was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and underage possession of alcohol. Two of the 15-year-olds were charged with possession of marijuana. The third 15-year-old was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
In a separate incident, drug agents found a marijuana distribution operation at a home on Champion Drive in the Four Seasons mobile home park Feb. 10. DeAngela Jones and Angela Jones were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Thomas said. Agents found a quantity of marijuana in the home that appeared to be pre-packaged for distribution, Thomas said.
In another incident Feb. 18, agents serving a search warrant at a home on Brandon Mill Circle in north Fayette County arrested two people for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. The suspects were identified as Lauren Norman, 19, of Fayetteville and Caleb Bowman, 24, of Fayetteville, officials said.
Yet another search warrant on Feb. 17 in Peachtree City netted three arrests by TNT. The warrant was executed at a home on Tower Road in the Wynnmeade subdivision and culminated with the arrest of Quenton Ferrell, 26, of Peachtree City for possession of marijuana; Matisha Render, 31, of Peachtree City for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and William Bailey, 47, of Peachtree City for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, officials said.
TNT also has made two arrests involving persons who sold drugs to undercover agents. Xavier Donte Walton, 20, of Peachtree City was arrested Feb. 11 after selling an undercover agent 46 grams of marijuana for $170 at a parking lot in Peachtree City, officials said. Johnny Collins, 26, of Atlanta, and Deanie Reid, 46, of Union City were charged with selling 22 grams of suspected crack cocaine to an undercover agent at an undisclosed location Feb. 11, officials said..
Other arrests made by TNT this month include:
• Ahsan Tahir, 21, of Peachtree City, arrested at Dalston Way for possession of marijuana;
• Lauren Nicole Hill, 20, of Fayetteville, arrested at her home on Travis Street in Fayetteville for possession of marijuana;
Further arrests are pending for a search warrant executed by TNT Feb. 16 at a home on Rising Star Road in south Fayette that turned up marijuana and various prescription pills, officials said.
