Veteran business, public policy and community leader brings decades of experience and deep ties to Fayette and Fulton counties
PALMETTO, Ga. – True Natural Gas is pleased to announce that Virgil L. Fludd has joined its Board of Directors. Fludd brings extensive experience in executive leadership, public policy, stakeholder relations and community service to the role.
“Virgil has spent his career bringing people together, asking thoughtful questions and helping organizations make sound decisions,” said Chuck Johnson, Chairman of the True Natural Gas Board of Directors. “His business experience, seven terms of service in the Georgia House of Representatives and long record of involvement in Fayette County give him a valuable understanding of the communities we serve. We are excited to welcome him and confident he will help guide our organization and deliver value to our stakeholders as we continue to grow.”
Fludd is the founder and managing partner of The Carvir Group, an executive search and leadership advisory firm. His professional experience also includes senior level positions with Dentons, Bank of America and Xerox. His areas of expertise include CEO evaluation, succession planning, compliance, ethics, stakeholder relations, public policy and leadership development.
During his seven terms in the Georgia House of Representatives, Fludd represented portions of Fayette and Fulton counties and held leadership roles at both the state and national levels. His public service and extensive community involvement have given him a firsthand understanding of the issues affecting Georgia families, businesses and growing communities.

Fludd currently serves on the boards of Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Black Pearl Global Investments. His previous civic and community service includes organizations focused on education, healthcare, economic development and strengthening families.
His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Davidson College Alumni Service Award, the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Dream Builder Award, the Fayette County NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award and the Flat Rock AME Church Servant Leadership Award.
Fludd earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Davidson College. He is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, Leadership Fayette and the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute.
“My professional life has been about leadership, but my personal life has focused on service,” Fludd said. “I enjoy working with organizations that truly care about customers and can help build communities. Providing safe, reliable and affordable energy provides a baseline for economic growth. I have a lot to learn so I can best support the management team.”
