World-renowned leader in ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturing, Mallaghan, has raised a record $30,000 for charity following the success of its 4th Annual Shamrock Classic Charity Golf Tournament.

The event, which was supported by Delta Air Lines, Water Truck, and Averest, welcomed more than 200 golfers and over 50 sponsors, including clients, employees, and friends.

All proceeds were donated to four mental health and suicide prevention charities – the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, BYRD House, Frayed Edges Foundation, and Hunter Scarbrough.

The total was formally presented during a check handover following the event, marking the highest amount raised since the Shamrock Classic was launched in 2022. Since then, the tournament has become a key date in Mallaghan’s calendar, bringing colleagues, customers, and partners together each year to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention initiatives.

Joe Griffith, Chief Commercial Officer at Mallaghan, commented:

“Each year, the Shamrock Classic Tournament reminds us of the incredible support of our community, and this year is no different as we have continued to exceed expectations and raised a new high of $30,000 for mental health and suicide prevention charities.

“At Mallaghan, we are proud to stand with our employees, customers, and partners in supporting organizations dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing, making a lasting difference in people’s lives.

“Mental health affects us all, in our families, workplaces, and communities, and it’s vital that we continue to raise awareness, provide assistance, and remove the stigma that often surrounds this topic.

“These funds will play an important role in helping our chosen charities as they continue their invaluable work to improve lives and strengthen our community.

“I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated, contributed, or donated and to the White Oak Golf Club for hosting. We look forward to continuing this special tradition for many years to come.”

This year’s tournament was held at White Oak Golf Club, Newnan, Georgia.

Christine Curtin, Executive Director, Georgia Chapter, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, said:

“We are incredibly grateful for Mallaghan’s continued commitment to raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.

“Events like these not only provide vital funds to help us expand our education, research, and support initiatives, but they also bring hope to those affected by suicide.”

Edith Byrd, BYRD House also added:

“Thanks to Mallaghan’s donation, we can continue offering programs that encourage community, growth, and mental wellbeing.”

Elizabeth Giles, Frayed Edges Foundation shared its appreciation:

“This donation will allow us to extend our mission of providing essential workshops, counseling, and other mental health services for people who need assistance.

“With Mallaghan’s support, we can continue to shine a spotlight on the importance of mental health awareness and make a tangible difference in the community.”

Joni Scarbrough, Hunter Scarbrough Foundation added:

“We are sincerely grateful to Mallaghan for helping to honor Hunter’s legacy through its ongoing advocacy for mental health awareness and outreach initiatives.”

The 5th Annual Shamrock Classic Golf Tournament will be held on October 22–23, 2026, at White Oak Golf Club.
