Brant Frost’s political youth organization, Georgia Teen Republicans, is populated by Georgia’s conservative youth – including one of its officers, Ja’Quon Stembridge, who is currently under fire for the attempted solicitation of a minor.

Frost is the son of Edwin Brant Frost IV, who ran First Liberty Building and Loan, a lending firm based in Newnan that he and his son were involved in. The firm has been under federal investigation as a Ponzi scheme accused of defrauding investors of millions of dollars.

An inside source told The Citizen that one of Frost’s many side projects was leading the Georgia Teen Republicans, a youth political group for Georgia conservatives of which Stembridge was a part.. Frost’s name appears under the copyright for the organization’s website, and while he is not directly labeled as the group’s leader, he is known to have served as the primary adult advisor.

Now, one of Frost’s youth leaders, Ja’Quon Stembridge – who served on the Georgia Teen Republicans executive board as the first vice-chair and also served as the assistant secretary of the Georgia GOP until recent resignation – is accused of the attempted solicitation of a 14-year-old boy.

Stembridge, a 19-year-old college freshman at the University of North Georgia, resigned from his Georgia GOP position following an attempted meet-up with the minor, whom he allegedly spoke to on a dating app. The meet-up in Athens was a set-up, with a man recording Stembridge as he apologies for his attempted solicitation, asks the recorder to stop recording and insists that he is 17 instead of 19. In the video, Stembridge claims he skipped a grade and does not have his ID to prove his age. *warning video contains expletives

He is not facing any criminal charges as this was not a police sting but rather orchestrated by a citizen that attempts to expose predators.

Georgia GOP Chair Josh McKoon confirmed Stembridge’s resignation in a statement on X. McKoon states in his tweet that “The GAGOP notes that the allegations, while serious and disturbing, are only allegations. While the GAGOP condemns any such alleged conduct, it also stands by the principle that is the bedrock of the American legal system that all people are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Mr. Stembridge is presumed innocent unless and until adjudicated guilty of wrongdoing in a court of law.”

Frost’s amount of current leadership and involvement with the Georgia Teen Republicans is unknown given that he may be preoccupied as his family’s lending firm continues to remain under federal investigation.
