Tyrone, Georgia, invites you to celebrate its annual Founders Day Festival on October 3rd and 4th at Shamrock Park. This year’s theme, ā€œTyrone, the Sweetest Place on Earth,ā€ captures the charm, warmth, and family spirit that make this small town so special.

The celebration begins Friday, October 3rd with a classic Cruise In at 5 PM, followed by the thrilling Action Wrestling Show at 7 PM. From 5–9 PM, food trucks will line Shamrock Park with everything from savory bites to decadent desserts, ensuring a perfect night out for the whole family.

On Saturday, October 4th, the festivities kick off with the Founders Day Parade at 12 PM through downtown Tyrone, leading everyone into the heart of the festival at Shamrock Park starting at 12:30 PM.

Entertainment fills the day with live music from Playlist at 1 PM and a crowd-favorite performance from 6 Feet Back at 6 PM. The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks show at 8 PM, lighting up the sky in true Founders Day fashion.

This year’s festival is packed with attractions for all ages, including:

  • The Largest Slide in the Nation
  • The Human Claw Experience
  • Carousel Rides & Zipline Adventures
  • Children’s Games, Petting Zoo & Pony Rides
  • Pumpkin Decorating Under the Pavilion

No festival would be complete without food! Guests can indulge in everything from hearty meals to sweet treats, making sure no one leaves hungry.

Mayor and town leaders invite everyone from near and far to experience Tyrone’s small-town charm and big-time fun. ā€œFounders Day is about celebrating community, family, and everything that makes Tyrone so special,ā€ said event organizers. ā€œWe can’t wait to share the sweetest place on Earth with you.ā€
