Bailee is an 8-month-old female Akita with striking markings and an even more striking personality. At about 45 pounds, she’s still growing into her paws, but she’ll likely stay on the moderate side for the breed.
Akitas are often known for their independence, and somewhat aloof nature, but Bailee seems happy to break the rules of her breed—she’s friendly with both people and other dogs, and loves to spend time just hanging out. Shelter volunteers describe her as chill, adorable, super smart, and easy to be around.
Intelligent and strong-willed, Akitas thrive with experienced owners who can offer structure and leadership. While Bailee is an easy-going pup, she will need guidance as she matures so she can continue to blossom into a loyal, well-mannered companion. This sweetheart of a girl is ready for that forever home where she can receive the love she deserves.
Bailee is available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5. Come meet Bailee and discover just how special this young girl is.
