Fayette County students continue to rank among the best in the state on the 2025 Georgia Milestones Assessment.
Fayette County Public Schools ranked top 3 in all four subjects among comparably-sized districts. They ranked 1st in Algebra and US History. In all subject categories, the majority of Fayette County students scored at the “proficient or above” level, meaning they are considered on track to being college and career ready.
In American Literature & Composition, 83.7% of Fayette students scored a reading status of at grade level or above, compared to 67.3% statewide. Fayette students scored “proficient or above” at 62.2%, compared to 40.4% statewide. That ranks second highest in the state among districts with at least 700 test takers. Fayette tested nearly 1,800 students.
In Algebra, 74.5% of Fayette students scored “proficient or above,” compared to 44.9% statewide. That ranks best in the state among districts with at least 700 test takers. Fayette tested more than 1,900 students.
In Biology, 64.5% of Fayette students scored “proficient or above,” compared to 44.2% statewide. That ranks third highest in the state among districts with at least 800 test takers. Fayette tested nearly 1,800 students.
In US History, 59.2% of Fayette students scored “proficient or above,” compared to 38.6% statewide. That ranks best in the state among districts with at least 700 test takers. Fayette tested more than 1,100 students.
