Whitewater and McIntosh will both play for a state volleyball championship in their respective classifications on October 29.
In the semifinals, Whitewater clipped Calhoun, 3 sets to 2. McIntosh swept Sequoyah in straight sets, 3-0.
Whitewater will face Cherokee Bluff in the Class 3A title match. The Wildcats are looking for their 3rd state championship.
McIntosh will face Woodward Academy in the Class 5A title match. The Chiefs are in pursuit of their 8th state title.
The championship matches are set for Wednesday, October 29 at LakePoint Sports Champions Center in Cartersville. Whitewater will play at 2:30 p.m., and McIntosh will play at 7:30 p.m.
