Charles Norman Sanders passed peacefully with family on August 6, 2025.  Also, affectionately known as Pop and Charlie, he was born from humble roots in Vienna, GA on April 22, 1942.  

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sara, and his sister Bobbi.  He is survived by wife, Patricia; sons, Chase and Kurt; daughter’s in-law Nicole and Cathryn; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lilly, and Cason.  He is also survived by his sister, Inez Reigelsperger.

Charles earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and later a Masters Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  He had a long, impactful career as a leader in the Auto Auction Industry.  As a respected business leader, Charles was a member of the Atlanta Airport Rotary Club where he achieved Paul Harris Fellow honors twice.  Charles loved family vacations to the beach and was an ardent reader.  He loved all sports and especially golf.  

Charles was kind and compassionate and a believer in Jesus Christ.  Those that knew him knew that they had a true friend.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM.  Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home.  A reception will follow the service on Saturday at the Fayette Depot Event Center.  In lieu of flowers please donate in Pop’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Michael J Fox Foundation.
