Education Foundation welcomes new teachers with gift cards

The Fayette County Education Foundation loves helping educators get started on a high note. Continuing an annual tradition, the Education Foundation gave 163 attendees a $40 Amazon gift card at the New Teacher Induction summit. 

The new teachers were asked to support the Foundation’s mission in return by signing up for at least the Buck-A-Month Club, where one dollar a month is automatically deducted and donated to the Foundation. The Foundation uses tax-deductible gifts to provide funds and opportunities above and beyond the normal operating budget of the school system. 

The Fayette County Education Foundation has awarded well over $310,000 in teacher grants since 2002.
