Introducing Lady Diana—a true shelter favorite with a royal name and a heart to match. At around 3 years old, she’s as lovely and gracious as her namesake, but she’s been through quite the journey. Lady Diana arrived at the shelter with five puppies in tow and the weight of a rough past behind her. Not long after, she became very ill. Thankfully with strength, love, and a mother’s determination, she made a full recovery. All but one of her pups have been adopted, and Lady Diana was too, for a little while. Sadly, despite her sweet nature, the resident dog in her new home simply wouldn’t accept her, and she was returned through no fault of her own.
Now back at the shelter, Lady Diana has claimed a spot in the shelter’s staff office, where she reigns as one of the most pampered and beloved dogs on site. She’s fully housebroken, dog-friendly, loves people, and delights everyone she meets with her gentle demeanor and sense of humor. She’s been affectionately dubbed a diva (in the best way) and has even been known to quietly climb onto a desk to get a kiss from the shelter director. While she may pretend most ‘regular’ dog things are beneath her, Lady Diana does like to play ball and will happily chase bubbles as long as you’re willing to blow them (dog safe ones of course)! Whether she is lounging like a queen or showing off her playful side, Lady Diana always brings a smile to everyone around her.
This long-timer is more than ready to write her next chapter. Lady Diana is looking for a loving home where she can be cherished, spoiled, and accepted for the royal gem she is. Dote on her like a princess and she will be the most loyal of companions.
Lady Diana is available for adoption at Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is open seven days a week—Monday through Friday from 11–5, and weekends from 12–5. Come meet Lady Diana and give this girl the happy fairy-tale ending she deserves.
