Peachtree City, GA — The Rotary Club of Peachtree City is proud to announce that it has been named Club of the Year once again for Rotary District 6900, sharing this prestigious honor by tying the Roswell Rotary Club for the Category IV / Large Club (over 100 members) category. This back-to-back achievement is a testament to the incredible momentum built last year under Immediate Past President Amy Benton and carried forward under President Patti Kadkhodaian’s leadership this year. President Patti reflected on the achievement, saying, “This incredible recognition is driven by the tremendous members we have who give their time, talents, and hearts to make a lasting impact. Our club’s success is simply a reflection of the spirit and passion of our people. Together, we are making a difference — right here in Peachtree City and across the globe.”
With more than 150 local professionals united by a passion for service, the Rotary Club of Peachtree City continues to make a significant impact both locally and globally. Over the past year, the club has grown its membership and maintained its standing as the highest per capita giver to The Rotary Foundation among large clubs within the district.
Among the many highlights of the year, the club was recognized for hosting the Best World Polio Day Project, raising nearly $7,000 in just one hour to support Rotary International’s PolioPlus initiative — a critical global effort to eradicate polio worldwide. Rotary has been a driving force behind the near-eradication of this devastating disease, and the Peachtree City club is proud to be at the forefront of that fight.
Additionally, the club received honorable mentions for excellence in member engagement through its Rotary Community Corps efforts, and for the success of its signature fundraiser, Bourbon & Bow Ties / Pinot & Pearls — now entering its third year this October.
Another highlight of this year’s Rotary District 6900 Conference was the formal induction of Peachtree City’s Past President Steve Ivory as the new District Governor for Rotary District 6900, which includes over 65 clubs and approximately 4,000 members. This milestone moment was made even more special as the induction was conducted by Rotary Foundation Trustee Larry Lunsford, acting as a delegate from Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick. Steve will officially begin his one-year term on July 1, 2025, and the Rotary Club of Peachtree City looks forward to proudly supporting him throughout his year of service.
