Beverly “Bev” (Benfante) Arnold, a beacon of love and thoughtfulness, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 17, 2025, at her home in Peachtree City, GA. Born on September 6, 1938, in Cambridge, MA, and a lifelong resident of Lexington, MA until her marriage to Robert in 1960. Bev demonstrated a quiet, simple beauty upon which she wove a tapestry of devotion to her family, friends, faith, and the community that she embraced with her warm presence.

Bev, cherished wife of Robert “Bob” Arnold, of Lexington, MA, was a partner in both love and life’s adventures for more than six decades that started after they met in the 7th grade.

Together, they built a family foundation that was strong, supportive, and full of joy. She was the beloved mother of Mark Arnold of Arlington, TX, Brent Arnold of Aurora, CO, and Ann (Arnold) Holland of Peachtree City, GA, along with 4 grandchildren and 2+ great-grandchildren, all of whom inherited her spirit of kindness and carry on her legacy of creativity and grace. She is also survived by her sister Janice (Benfante) Silva of North Chelmsford, MA.

Bev’s unwavering support and guidance were the cornerstones that her children and husband leaned on through the ebbs and flows of life. Those who knew Bev will remember her for the love that she freely gave and the thoughtfulness she showed in every action. She was a gifted oil painter and she generously shared her passion for all kinds of needle work.  She had a gift for spreading cheer and being positive.  Her smile was contagious and her charming wit and one-liners reliably created smiles and laughter.

Bev’s life was one of meaningful simplicity and humility; she found joy in the small moments and inspired others to follow. Her legacy is one of love, a lesson in the power of giving oneself to others selflessly and wholeheartedly. She had a great  sense of community developed by the many places she lived due to corporate transfers, and established deep roots wherever she was raising her family. The memories she leaves behind will be cherished treasures by her family and friends.

Her deep Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, personality, and family activities. She gave her time freely to her faith at her local church, St. Philip Benizi, Jonesboro, GA helping those parishioners who needed assistance while building her devotion to God and her family.

As the Arnold family mourns the loss of their matriarch, they celebrate the remarkable life she led and the countless lives she touched spreading happiness and positivity with her warm smiling presence. Bev’s spirit will continue to live on through the stories shared, the lessons taught, her family members, and the love she planted in the hearts of all who knew her. Her passing is not just a goodbye but a thank you for the life she so beautifully shared with the world.
