Two Injured in House Fire on Gingerbread Place in Fayetteville, Cause Under Investigation

Fayetteville, GA – November 30, 2024 – City of Fayetteville Fire and Police personnel responded Friday morning to a fully-involved house fire on Gingerbread Place in the Gingercake Landing neighborhood.

The fire was dispatched at 9:06 AM, and units arrived on scene at 9:10 AM to find smoke and flames showing from the structure. Upon assessing the situation, two occupants of the home were found to have suffered burn injuries. Both individuals were promptly transported by Fayette County Fire & Emergency Services to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for treatment. As of late Friday afternoon, both are in stable condition.

Firefighters acted quickly to contain the fire, extinguishing the flames and conducting a thorough search of the property. No additional patients were found at the scene. The fire was successfully contained to the one structure.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Fayetteville Fire Department, along with local agencies, are continuing to investigate the incident.
